The delegation of South Sinai Governorate and the Embassy of Egypt paid a two-day visit to the City of Niš. The reason was the signing of the Letter of Intent for the establishment of cooperation between the City of Niš and the City of Sharm el-Sheikh. The South Sinai delegation, comprised of the owners of the largest hotel chains in Sharm el-Sheikh and the surrounding area, was led by the Governor of South Sinai, Khaled Fuda. During their two-day stay in Niš, the representatives of South Sinai visited the most important cultural, historical and natural sites. In the meeting with domestic businessmen, tourist workers and the director of the company Airports of Serbia, in the Regional Chamber of Commerce, they discussed the improvement of cooperation in the field of tourism. Special emphasis was placed on the possibility of investing in spa tourism. The establishment of passenger and air traffic between Niš and Sharm el-Sheikh was considered. The delegation also visited the Science and Technology Park, where they got acquainted with the functioning of the organization, and then visited several companies residing there, which is a regional center for dynamic development of innovative scientific and technological entrepreneurship and conquest of high and advanced technologies. The members of the delegation expressed interest in establishing a mini science and technology park in Sharm el-Sheikh within the university, with the professional support of the Science and Technology Park and the University of Niš.

The Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Nisava, Pirot and Toplica Administrative Districts, in cooperation with the Embassy of Egypt in Serbia, organized the roundtable and the meeting with businessmen from Egypt to promote and expand economic cooperation between Egypt and Serbia. In addition to the Egyptian businessmen, the roundtable was attended by the Ambassador Amr Aljowaily and Minister Counselor to the Embassy, Ayman Aly Osman Hassan. This Roundtable was organized as part of the Egyptian Economic Week.

After the recent visit of the Egyptian ambassador to our city the first cooperation between the City of Nis and the Embassy of Egypt was realized through a joint workshop in the field of fine arts. Egyptian painter prof. Ibrahim Ghazala gave a lecture entitled “Serbia-Egyptian Cooperation in the Field of Arts”. Ibrahim Ghazala is an Egyptian visual artist, painter, professor of art and writer, known for his typical style and rich warm colors. His artwork faithfully portrays the Egyptian landscape, the beauty he sees in nature, as well as his passion for color.

 

Nis Regional Chamber of Commerce Nis organize the meeting between the representatives of the business community in Nis and the Ambassador of Egypt Amr Aljowaily, with the aim of getting to know and initiate closer ties, since it was assessed that the current economic cooperation between the two countries does not correspond to current and traditional political relations and that strengthening of economic ties must be one of the priority interests of both parties.

 

Modern Ballet Ensemble of the Cairo Opera performed at the Amphitheater, on the banks of the Nisava River, on the first night of the second Nisville Jazz Theater Festival. The play The Blue Elephant was created in 2014 and is based on the novel of the same name by Ahmed Murad, which became the best-selling novel at the 2013 International Book Fair in Cairo one year after its release. The Cairo Opera Ballet Ensemble was founded in 2013 by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. The audience in Nis had the opportunity to see the play “Blue Elephant” within the Month of Egyptian Culture, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and our country.
