TANJA OBRADOVIĆ

CHIEF TOWN PLANNER

Tanja Obradović was born in 1977 in Surdulica. She attended elementary school until the seventh grade in Ranilug and finished elementary school and high school Svetozar Marković in Surdulica. She enrolled at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Niš in 1996 and graduated from the same faculty in 2003.

From 2002 to 2005 she worked as an architect in the Studio Domus project bureau and participated in the development of all types of projects in the field of architecture and urban planning. As a co-author, she is the winner of the second award for the development of the conceptual architectural design of apartments for social housing, awarded in 2005 by the City of Niš.

She passed the professional exam in 2005 and became a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers, as a licensed architect (license number 300 F662 07). By the decision of the Ministry of Justice in 2011 she was appointed as a court expert in the field of urban planning, design, law and regulations.

She enrolled in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in 2008 and in 2017 she started working on her doctoral dissertation in the field of urban planning on the topic Valorization of Impact and Optimization of Building Rules for Improving Implementation of Planning Documents in Serbia. She has published several scientific papers in journals of architecture and urbanism.

Since 2005, she has worked as a republic urban inspector in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure leading republic urban and construction inspection team in Niš.

She was appointed City of Niš Chief Town Planner in September 2020.
