VLADISLAV MARJANOVIĆ, PhD in Economic Sciences

MEMBER OF NIŠ CITY COUNCIL FOR ECONOMY, INVESTMENTS AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 

Vladislav Marjanović was born in Niš in 1975. He defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Changes in the Economic Structure of Serbia and Integration Processes in Europe” in 2010 at the Faculty of Economics in Niš, under the mentorship of Prof Zoran Arandjelović.

Since 2000 he has been working at the Faculty of Economics in Niš, where he performs teaching activities at all levels of study.

He is visiting lecturer at the University of Novo Mesto (Republic of Slovenia), the University of Belgorod and the Russian Customs Academy in Moscow (Russian Federation). He has participated in the work of various commissions, committees and bodies at the University and others. He is a participant in numerous scientific gatherings, congresses and forums around the world.

He has been a long-term member of the organizational and program committees of scientific conferences related to regional and economic policy issues. He is one of the founders and coordinators of the International Summer School of Economics, one of the most prestigious events organized by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Niš.

He has actively participated in several national and international projects:

“Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia”, Government of the Republic of Serbia (2002-2003);

“The Possibilities for Investment in the Corridor X Area in Serbia – Niš Example”, a project implemented in collaboration with “Pellicioli – Bertoldi Consulting Studio Venice” and “Faculty of Economics Venice” (2004);

“Start Negotiating”, organized by the NGO “Millennium” and the European Union (2006);

“Development Strategy of the City of Niš”, a project implemented in cooperation with UN Habitat and ERVET (2008), as a member of the Development Council of the City of Niš;

“Management of NGO Sector in Serbia”, in cooperation with CVNO Banska Bistrica and Slovak Aid (2010-2011).

Since 2009 he has been engaged in the European Enterprise Network project of the European Commission, within which he was a member of the sector group for agriculture and agro-industry in the period 2011-2015, and currently an advisor for the development of small and medium enterprises.

From 2012 to 2015 he served as Vice Dean for teaching and student affairs at the Faculty of Economics in Niš.

He has been a member of the Scientific Society of Economists of Serbia and the Society of Economists of Niš for many years.

He speaks German and English.

He is married and the father of two sons.
