MARIJA RANDJELOVIĆ, PhD in Pedagogical and Communication Sciences

MEMBER OF NIŠ CITY COUNCIL FOR EDUCATION

 

Marija Randjelović was born in Niš in 1974.

She has PhD in Pedagogical and Communication Sciences.

She started her career as an educator in 1996 at the “King Peter I” primary school in Nis, where she worked until 2011. By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia she was appointed director of the Home for High School Students in Niš in 2011. Today she is the director of the Open University in Niš.

She was a member of the Board of the Institute for Pedagogical Research in Belgrade, for two terms, the most referenced educational institution in Serbia. She is a member of the commissions and working bodies of Institute for the Advancement of Education and Upbringing for the introduction of standards in education and of the commissions and working bodies of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. By the decision of Niš City Assembly she was appointed a member of the Council for the fight against addiction and a member of the Council for the organization of the Literary Colony Sićevo also for several years. She was a member of the Board of Directors of Preschool Institution Pčelica and a member of the Board of Directors of the Niš National Theater.

She is the author of several seminars, accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia, intended for professional development of employees in education.

She has been a participant in numerous conferences in the country and abroad, on topics of educational work, educational policy, media literacy and culture, and management in education and culture.

Her books have been presented in more than 100 municipalities in Serbia and the region and have been translated into several languages.

She is the winner of many national, as well as awards and recognitions of local significance.

She acquired a university degree in the narrow scientific field of Culture and Media.
