He was born in Niš in 1972. He completed Secondary Comprehensive School Bora Stanković and graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš at Process Engineering Deparment.
He was the Energy Manager of the Municipality of Knjaževac and the Head of the Department for Communal Affairs and Energy in the Secretariat for Communal Affairs, Energy and Traffic of the City Administration in Niš.
He was the technical director of the Metaloprerada Company Niš and an associate in the group for issuing certificates in the field of occupational safety of the MIN Institute for Occupational Safety.
He is certified Municipal Energy Manager by University of Belgrade Faculty of Mechanics; certified trainer for energy performance contracting (ESCO) by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. He completed training on EU public policies at University of Niš Faculty of Law, training on sustainable indicator for municipalities at University of Belgrade Faculty of Mining and Geology, training on programming and preparation of infrastructure projects within MISP IPA 2010; training on preparation of municipal energy balance and energy efficiency projects at Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia;
He completed thecourses: IMAGINE Seminar: On the road to nearly zero-Energy Cities, Dobrich, Bulgaria; Training on PUC Monitoring, organized by USAID through the project „Local sustainable development”, Stara Pazova, Serbia; TAIEX training on EU energy policy at local level, organized by Local Administration Facility (LAF) & The Committee of the Regions, Brussels, Belgium; Future EU programming period 2014-2020, Brussels, Belgium; Energy Efficiency for Buildings, Joint Vienna Institute (JVI), Vienna, Austria; “Speak European: Professional Development for Accession by European Institute of Public Administration – EIPA.
He has worked as the consultant for Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities in preparation and presentation of guidelines for municipalities for improvement of energy efficiency of residential buildings, developing communication models for promotion of the new tariff policies in the area of communal services. He authored Recommendations for defining local legal regulations in the sector of district heating published by Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities.
He is the author of several professional papers in the field of energy efficiency published in renowned publications.
Bojan Gajić was appointed the Energy Manager for the City of Niš in June 2019.
He speaks English, writes and reads in French and German.
He is married, the father of two children.
