Marija Brajdić was born in 1968 in Niš. She graduated in 1993 from the Faculty of Law in Niš, and passed the bar exam in 1996.
She worked as a trainee lawyer in 1993, acourt trainee in the District Court in Niš from 1994 to 1996, a legal representation officer in Winner Broker Company in 1996, and in PE for City District Heating in 1997.
She worked as senior expert associate in City of Niš Secretariat for Urban Planning and Housing and Communal Services, then as the Head of the Department for Housing at Administration for Property, as senior associate for issuing building permits at Administration for Planning and Construction, as an assistant acting Head of Legal Affairs in Administration for Planning and Construction, as the Head of the Department for issuing construction permits in Administration for Planning and Construction, and as the Head of the Legalization Department from 2010 to 2012. She was employed in the City of Niš Administration from February 1999 until her appointment to the position of the Head of the Municipal Administration of the Palilula City Municipality in September 2012.
She has 25 years of experience in the legal profession (21 years of work experience in the field of administrative law – of which 13 years of experience in management positions in administrations and secretariats; 4 years of work experience in the judicial system).
She is a licensed trainer of the National Academy for Public Administration since 2019, licensed mediator by the Ministry of Justice, a member of the network for human resources and SCTM network of heads of municipal adminsitrations. She has participated in numerous domestic and foreign projects.
In 2020 she was appointed City of Niš Attorney.
She speaks English fluently.
