On this day, 102 years ago, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. This historic telegram was handed to the then Government of the Kingdom of Serbia, which was located in the building of today’s University of Nis. On this occasion, Nis City Council Member Svetozar Aleksov, the President of the City Municipality Crveni Krst Miroslav Milutinović and the representative of the Association for Preserving Tradition of Liberation Wars in Serbia laid flower wreaths at the memorial plaque, which, at the centenary of this historic event, was placed on the building of the University.
